  • Spider-Man saves blind man Matt Murdock from a gang of bank robbers, unaware that Murdock is the costumed hero Daredevil. Returning to his office, Murdock is invited to the circus by his partner Foggy and secretary Karen. The circus is actually a front for the Circus of Crime and the Ringmaster has advertised Spider-Man as one of their performers to draw in a larger crowd. Spider-Man does indeed appear to investigate, but discovers that it is a plot by the Ringmaster to steal everyone’s valuables. He and the entire crowd are hypnotized by the swirling disk on the Ringmaster’s hat, except Matt Murdock whose blindness protects him. Switching to Daredevil, he battles Spider-Man until stealing the Ringmaster’s hat and using it to restore Spider-Man to normal. The two heroes defeat the Circus of Crime and Spider-Man uses the Ringmaster’s hat to release the crowd from his spell. Murdock jokingly leaves his business card with the Ringmaster.
