Suprema and her crime gang begin taking over crime rackets around the state, using Suprema’s hypnotic power to make everyone agree to her demands. Meanwhile, Captain America spars with Nick Fury at SHIELD HQ, demonstrating combat moves to Fury’s men. Suprema soon seeks to gain control of SHIELD and uses her technology to locate Dum Dum Dugan. Under her control, Dugan leads Suprema to Fury who is conducting weapons testing with Cap and his agents at a firing range. She quickly takes control of Fury and the SHIELD agents, but Cap’s shield negates her powers. Cap flees as Suprema’s minions attack him. Seeking information on Suprema’s identity and the source of her powers, he performs research at the Daily Bugle’s archives and on Tony Stark’s computer. He soon discovers she and her right hand man Scarbo are ex-performers adept in hypnotism, who have used technology to amplify her powers. He confronts Suprema’s forces, using an electrical current to short-circuit her control, freeing Fury and his men. With Suprema captured, Cap scorns the villainess for her power lust.
