The Green Goblin tries to take over Lucky Lobo’s gang but Lobo resists him. The Goblin vows to bring Lobo down. Peter leaves his Spider-Man costume to dry at home and misses an opportunity to trail Frederick Foswell, the former Big Man, now out of jail. Jameson rehires Foswell at the Bugle and he sets out to use his underworld contacts for the paper’s benefit. With his costume finally dry, Spider-Man pursues the Goblin and is lured into a gathering of Lucky Lobo and his men. After defeating Lobo’s gang, Spider-Man learns he has done the Goblin’s dirty work for him. He pursues the Goblin and they spar, but the Goblin escapes again. However, the Goblin is mortified to learn that Lobo’s entire gang has been arrested, leaving him with no one to take over.
