  • As a psychotic Greg Salinger is brought into Mitchell State Hospital he passes by Felicia Hardy who has been biding her time there since she fooled everyone into thinking she was crazy. She chooses this moment to escape. Jean DeWolff informs Spidey of this. One week later Felicia returns to crime, stealing a valuable painting, but longs for her lost relationship with Spider-Man. She hires a skywriter to ask Spidey to meet her at the location of their first “date”; the alley behind Emil Greco’s old hideout. Spidey arrives and Felicia tells him she’ll go straight if they can date. Spidey doesn’t completely trust her, but she gives him back the painting, and escapes. Captain DeWolff tells Spidey about Maggia Don Phil Bradshaw’s costume party and he attends, finding the Cat there. Together they tackle the crooks and turn them over to the police. Later, Spidey tells the Cat they have to talk further about going straight. Felicia would rather kiss first. Spidey complies.

Black Cat caught by Spider-Man; reveals she committed her crimes for love of him (ASM #205, ’80).
