Spider-Man is happy over his relationship with the Black Cat and her promise to go straight. After quickly webbing up a thief, he heads to Jean DeWolff’s office and tells her he wants amnesty for the Cat. DeWolff refuses to help. At her apartment, Felicia tries to convince Spidey that they should steal a priceless statuette from Sam Galvagno, a local crime boss, to use for their nest egg. Spidey refuses to participate and leaves. At ESU, Deb and Marcy Kane tell Pete his term paper is due. Still deliriously happy, Peter quickly bangs it out, and hands it to Dr. Sloan. Realizing that Felicia can’t let go of her baser nature, Spidey arrives as the Cat steals the statuette, and makes her put it back. However, Sam Galvagno and his men arrive. As Spidey webs up the crooks, the Cat escapes with the statue. Spidey catches and webs her at the docks, but she falls into the river and is apparently drowned. DeWolff shows up with the Cat’s pardon. Spidey tosses it into the river.
