The city fishes Hobgoblin’s van out of the river. Spidey tags it with a spider-tracer, then tries to call his aunt to talk about leaving school, but she refuses to speak to him. At the Bugle, staffers continue to be fl ustered by Robbie’s editor-in-chief reign. Nathan calls Peter at work and tells him to meet him and May at a restaurant. Before Peter can leave, Wendy Thornton tells him that Hobgoblin’s van was stolen. Spidey tracks it and finds Jack O’ Lantern behind its theft. As they fight, the battle van drives off on remote control while May questions her relationship with Peter to Nathan. Spidey almost has Jack, but lets him escape to save some bystanders. Rushing to the restaurant, Peter arrives to find out May has already left in tears. Nathan scolds Peter for his callowness.
