Spider-Man foils a daring helicopter bank robbery and heads over to the Daily Bugle to sell his pictures. There, Ben Urich discovers that Jonah is marrying Marla Madison. Later, Jonah heads to Sherwood Nursing Home where his son John is being kept. John doesn’t take the wedding news very well, but another inmate, the Scorpion, sees his chance for revenge. Breaking free and reclaiming his gear, Scorpion kidnaps John. During a Bugle surprise party for Jonah, police swarm the building to tell him about Scorpion’s escape. Spidey searches the city with no luck. Checking in on Jonah, he fi nds his penthouse well-guarded, which gives him the hunch to check Marla’s apartment. Sure enough, Scorpion comes up from the sewers, making short work of the police guarding Marla. Spidey crashes in to save her, but Scorpion gets the upper hand. Meanwhile, Jonah, worried about Marla, cons his way past the police to go to her, while John frees himself from where Scorpion left him in the sewer. Spidey grabs Marla and escapes but Scorpion reclaims her. John and Jonah both arrive to help but Scorpion subdues them. Spidey intercedes, finally out-punching and webbing up Scorpion. John and Jonah patch things up in time for the wedding, which goes off without a hitch.
