After foiling a fur theft, new hero Yellowjacket shows up for an Avengers meeting in place of Goliath, informs them he has killed Henry Pym, and demands to be made an Avenger. The Avengers fight him, but he knocks out the Wasp and escapes with her to his treetop hideaway. Later, the Avengers find Yellowjacket and the Wasp at City Hall, where Wasp tells them she intends to marry Yellowjacket.

As revealed next issue, Henry Pym abandons his Goliath identity to become Yellowjacket, and an additional flashback in this issue, showing Yellowjacket finishing off Goliath, is actually Pym’s delusion. As Av:EMH #5, ’07 reveals, the Avengers realize that Yellowjacket is Pym from the beginning but pretend not to know for the sake of Pym’s mental well-being.
