Recovered from their recent injuries, Wasp & Yellowjacket return to Avengers Mansion, where reporters and fans are gathered seeking news of a new Avengers roster. Wasp is glad to be back, but Yellowjacket seems reluctant to rejoin the team. The couple proceeds to the group’s assembly room, where the active members are seated with new recruits Beast, Hellcat & Moondragon to decide the group’s membership. Thor starts the meeting by announcing he is stepping down as chairman and leaving the group, believing the team doesn’t usually need his full power and that he has been limiting himself by spending so much time among mortals. Thor appoints Iron Man to succeed him as chairman, and an excited Hellcat can hardly wait to accept membership. As Iron Man asks whether Captain America is staying on, television news reports discuss the team’s history.
