Racing back to Jessica’s room, the Avengers fi nd Dr. Strange and the others are fighting desperately to keep Jessica’s spirit intact. Morgan Le Fay’s face appears in an astral window, warning them against interfering in her attempts to possess Jessica’s body. The Avengers travel to the Astral Plane to battle Morgan while elsewhere in the same realm Magnus awakens. Traveling to Jessica’s side, he gives the last of his power to help push Jessica back inside her body, sacrifi cing his life force. Dr. Strange magically binds Morgan to the Astral Plane’s terrain, trapping her, and the Avengers reunite in Jessica’s hospital room to find Jessica awake. Henry Pym warns that her powers are now gone, but Jessica is just grateful to be alive once again.
Spider-Woman knocks Morgan Le Fay out of her tower window. Later, Spider-Woman and Magnus’ astral forms discover Jessica’s body is seemingly dead (SW #50, ’83). Magnus attempts to reunite Jessica with her body, but Morgan Le Fay strikes down Magnus, intending to take Jessica’s body for her own (Av #240, ’84). Magnus possesses a man so he can accompany Spider-Woman to California (SW #13, ’79). Magnus steals the Darkhold (Av #187, ’79). Magnus becomes Morgan Le Fay’s lover (1). Morgan Le Fay tracks Magnus down and slays his mortal body (2).
