Having escaped prison, Mysterio stands over a tabletop amusement park model with a plan to destroy Spider-Man. Meanwhile, Spidey sifts through the Bugle’s roof rubble, recovering his clothes and camera. Peter tries to sell his Vulture pix but Jameson throws him out for “chickening out.” Unfortunately, Jameson soon learns the frightened staff photographer caught nothing on fi lm. Desperate for money, Peter sells his motorcycle. Suddenly, Mysterio appears on the street, hoping to draw out Spider-Man. Peter considers pursuing but decides to not seek trouble. Soon after, Gwen fi nds and makes up with him. Later, Peter and Harry go to Osborn labs fruitlessly searching for Norman, little knowing Norman is there as the Green Goblin; his memory is still not clear enough to remember Peter is Spider-Man. Back in Forest Hills, Peter smashes down Anna Watson’s front door when he hears Aunt May cry out inside in fright at Mysterio, who has jammed all TV signals, challenging Spider- Man to come to their first meeting place, a now-abandoned movie studio. While Anna calls for a doctor, Peter abandons May and soon enters the studio as Spider-Man. Amidst swirling smoke, Mysterio points out the table-top park, then shoots Spidey with a mysterious stun gun. When Spidey comes to, a giant Mysterio looms over him. He is apparently in the miniature amusement park, six inches tall.
