  • After Mockingbird busts drug runners, she joins her fellow West Coast Avengers for a meeting. In Arizona, the Avengers use one of Thanos’ devices to place the captive Blood Brothers in suspended animation. Urged on by ISAAC, Vision abandons his body and sends his psyche into the world’s computer networks and starts to take control of them. He encounters Quasimodo whose essence is trapped in the Kremlin’s computer system. When Vision’s battle with the villain threatens to expose his presence, Vision expels Quasimodo from Earth. At Avengers Mansion, Dane Whitman summons his Ebony Blade and escapes the tube in which Vision placed him. An intercepted call from Hawkeye reaches the Avengers in Arizona and exposes Vision’s deception of his teammates. When Captain America and Scarlet Witch call the android, he tells them that he has taken control of Earth.

Mad Thinker creates Quasimodo (FF Ann #4, ’66). Silver Surfer gives Quasimodo a humanoid form (FF Ann #5/3, ’67). The Fantastic Four and Iron Man battle Quasimodo (FF #202, ’79).

Wonder Man here dons a new blue and red costume. AWC #61, ’90 reveals Immortus manipulated Vision behind the scenes from Av #241, ’84, culminating here in Vision’s attempt to seize control of the world’s computers.
