Found by the newly arrived Avengers, Ka-Zar becomes livid when the team tells him none of the scientists survived Terminus’ attack. While tracking Terminus, Starfox rescues Ka-Zar’s pregnant wife Shanna from Terminus’ destruction of their home. On Sanctuary II, Captain Marvel meets the pirates’ leader, Nebula, and feigns agreement to join her crew. As Nebula tells Marvel of her plan to conquer the remains of the Skrull Empire, on Earth the Avengers learn from Ka-Zar that Terminus is headed towards Pangea, a heavily populated adjoining region. Unleashing a devastating attack on Pangea, Terminus kills thousands and wreaks havoc on the Savage Land’s atmospheric control machinery. The Avengers catch up with Terminus, but, although the Black Knight severs Terminus’ hand with his sword, Terminus swats the Quinjet out of the sky. The Avengers escape their downed craft just as the Savage Land’s environmental machinery finally breaks down, letting in an Antarctic blizzard that buries the Savage Land in ice and snow within minutes. Tearing Terminus’ armor apart, Hercules reveals Terminus’ true form as a squat alien unable to support his own weight. As the snow buries the helpless Terminus, Starfox and Hercules set off to find shelter for their comrades.
Terminus staff blast scatters Ka-Zar and the scientists, leaving the jungle lord barely conscious. Terminus wrecks the nearby landscape in search of something, until he finds a piece of machinery in a pond; giving it a cursory examination, he leaves with it (p).
Despite the not infrequent resurrections in the Marvel universe, Lord Typ is presumably not the same character as former Aerian leader M’dom Typ, who died in KZ #2, ’81; given his almost identical appearance, he may be a relative.
