Odin detects Thor’s presence in the Negative Zone, where Asgard itself has drifted, and sends Hogun, Fandral and Volstagg to fi nd him. Captain America, She-Hulk and Sub-Mariner recover and join Thor in battling Blastaar. When the Warriors Three enter the fray, the Baluurian retreats, only to be defeated by the Eternals he thought he killed. Sersi explains that Blastaar’s blasts disrupted her race’s control over their molecular structure, causing them to discorporate only temporarily. Gilgamesh begins to recover but must remain in Olympia to regain full health. The Eternal Sprite admits that he caused Olympia to materialize in the Negative Zone when he tampered with the machines that kept the city hidden from humans.
Annihilus blasts Blastaar and his troops after Blastaar’s troops zap him with a stasis ray (FF #290, ’86). After drifting in the Negative Zone, Blastaar is revived by the Eternals and seemingly destroys his rescuers
Gilgamesh leaves the Avengers. Sersi appears on the cover roster but does not offi cially become an Avenger until after this issue. Asgard is shown in the Negative Zone after having drifted there in Thor #404, ’89.
