Stranger takes Nebula back to his vessel, seeking to learn where she has hidden the Infi nity Union, which she stole from him and could end the universe if misused. However, Starfox’s pleasure effect prevents Stranger from fi nding out anything useful from Nebula, so he mentally probes her ship. Deciding that nobody should possess such a dangerous device, and warned by Gunthar that Nebula has boobytrapped it to destroy the entire sector if anyone other than she touches it, the Avengers split up to search. Spidey’s spider-sense leads him to the device. He attempts to grab it with his webs to drag to the others, but sets off an explosion instead. Quasar arrives at Avengers HQ. Jarvis fills him in on the situation accompanied by satellite images, but they are both suddenly engulfed by an explosion from the equipment.
