Tearing off his containment suit, Lt. Ramskov releases a blast of energy that bursts up into the sky above. Noticing it, Rage races into the subway to investigate. Meanwhile, Raymond Sikorski relays a message to Captain America and Sersi, informing them that the Avenger’s charter has been canceled as part of an arms agreement with the Soviet Union. Choosing to deal with that later, the two Avengers race underground to aid the others. Fearing the damage fighting Ramskov will cause, Thor and Sersi tear open a dimensional rift, throwing all of them - including a newly arrived Rage - into another dimension. Here, Lt. Ramskov’s powers don’t work, and Dr. Estivez has Sersi use her powers to perform a bone marrow transplant, with She-Hulk as donor. Lt. Ramskov awakens, now mentally sound, but is ordered to be quiet by Zhukova before he can reveal anything about his Chernobyl experience. Arriving monsters attack the Avengers, but are driven back. The monsters return to their master Ngh, who plots to use these new arrivals as a means for them to escape this dimension.
In Chernobyl, Ramskov fights the saboteurs, but accidentally smashes the Gluon Separator’s neutralizer element and is bathed in radiation.
