Sporr, weakened from creating too many doubles, is captured by Janissary, but one of Sporr’s doubles reaches Avengers Mansion and recruits Crystal’s help against Janissary’s Inhumans hunt. Sporr leads her to his main body, then seemingly dies; as Crystal breaks into the hidden mountain lab the scientist within uses her inventions to sap the Terrigen mist from Sporr to give herself powers, seemingly killing that Sporr too. Crystal defeats Janissary and faces the scientist, who dubs herself Terrigene. Crystal gets the upper hand, and Terrigene learns that she’s weakening, since only Inhuman physiology can handle the mist’s power. Terrigene reveals she sought only to use the mists to create a new family for herself, and Crystal takes pity on her. Terrigene refuses to leave, so Crystal takes Sporr back to the Quinjet and he merges with himself, restoring his vitality (1). Terrigene comes from a family of scientists, but her work in mutant genetic research got her censured and turned her into an embarrassment (2).
