Crystal saved everyone inside the cottage with a bubble of concentrated air. Rakkus begins tearing through the New Men as Bova tries to appeal to Fydor inside. Elsewhere, Black Widow checks on the resting Cap, realizing she’s developing feelings for him. Meanwhile, Hercules dines with Taylor. However, she excuses herself to talk to Ares, who identifies her as really being Hera in disguise; determined to win her wager and destroy everyone Herc cares for. On Wundagore, HE manages to block Rakkus’ ability to transform, but is forced to blast through him when he captures Bova. Rakkus leaves the dying Fydor’s body, who tells Bova that Rakkus was recalled by Exodus. Fydor dies, leaving the others feeling that this attack was just the beginning.
Quicksilver and Crystal come to Wundagore to see the dying Bova (Av #380, ’94). Quicksilver appeals to HE to help Bova. HE discovers Bova’s been poisoned, revealed to have been done by one of Exodus’ followers in the guise of her friend Fydor before Bova’s cottage explodes (Av #381, ’94).
