Kang returns home with news that his empire is crumbling. He chastises Mantis for sending their twins Malachi and Tobias into the past to retrieve the Cotati Swordsman. At the Avengers’ temporary HQ the Avengers attack Iron Man for killing Yellowjacket and Marilla. Iron Man severely injures Janet during the melee, and escapes when the adult Luna rescues him with her Time-Chair. Giant-Man rushes Janet to his lab as Tuc arrives. He captures and escapes with Luna for her protection. In a gamble to save her life, Giant-Man put Janet through the process that originally gave her the Wasp powers, and a cocoon immediately surrounds her. The Avengers realize Luna is missing just as a plane crashes into the building. Masque emerges from the flames and announces her intention to stop Tony Stark.
