After a sparring session with Giant-Man, Vision retires to the mansion’s computer room and plugs himself into the internet, unwittingly allowing a digital life form called Glitch to invade his brain. Noting Vision’s considerable anti-intrusion systems, Glitch rewires Vision’s systems to decrease his intelligence in inverse proportion to his density. During another sparring session the next day, Giant-Man notices Vision’s performance and vocabulary deteriorating but is too late to stop him from growing so dense that he enters a vegetative state. Glitch then takes control of Vision but forgets his own sabotage and loses his own intelligence when he increases his density to attack Giant-Man, allowing Vision to reassert control. The two Avengers dismiss the event as a mere malfunction, and Glitch fades into nothingness.
