  • Arriving at the Wakanda Design Group’s Manhattan plant, Black Panther finds Alkhema attacking it. At Avengers Mansion, Justice and Firestar begin moving in while Captain America, Thor and Iron Man hold a press conference that is abruptly ended when Wasp barges in, pleading for the Avengers’ help. At nearby Cafe Transia, Scarlet Witch performs a gypsy dance for the audience, with both Simon and a covert Vision watching. Signaled by Cap, the Avengers regroup and learn Jan fears Ultron had abducted Hank. Jarvis warns the Avengers of a priority alert at the Wakandan plant; the Avengers race there to find Alkhema boasting her wish to slaughter as many Avengers as possible before Ultron can do so. The Avengers and the Black Panther subdue her, but upon questioning her as to Ultron’s whereabouts, she merely suggests they turn on the news. Later, at the mansion, the Avengers watch in horror at news reports of robotic forces slaughtering the entire nation of Slorenia...

Visiting Nugent Technologies Jan discovers Hank’s lab in ruins. Alice Nugent tells her that robots kidnapped Hank (p). Hank Pym builds Ultron, who hypnotizes Hank into forgetting he created the robot (Av #58, ’68). Ultron-6 battles the Avengers (Av #67, ’69).
